yeah, but from what i have read Raspberry Pi cant handle ubuntu...yet. Which is ok. i really dont need ubuntu per se, becasue raspberry can run on other distros of linux as i understand. it would be...

or both?

Actually it's not. Anything bigger than a 27 inch will take up way too much space and will probably burn your face off. I'd start thinking about dual monitors and see what can fit on your desk.
