Khis stood very still, watching the scene with Cog's small hands gripping her robes tightly. The dwarf seemed to understand it all, then, in the next moment, to lose sight of that understanding... an ailment she seemed to be suffering herself. "Fascinating..." was all she could manage to murmur, though, the excitement that usually accompanied discovery of new and exciting things seemed to be missing, entirely. Confusion and a weird sense of deja'vu kept distracting her.

"It's very much as if I SHOULD know these places and people... as if I should understand what's happening, yet..." she shook her head and continued to watch. Unlike the dwarf, she had recognized many of the faces and places from the early parts of the book. Her eyes narrowed as she watched... outside, yet very aware of this band of warriors and clerics and mages and friends... yes. They were friends! Her face softened and some scenes she could not recognize passed by while the dwarf hooted and pointed and remembered.

More scenes appeared and she absently took the mug from the dwarf, only then realizing that her mouth was horribly dry and she was weary from standing before the scenes playing out on the wall. She sank to the floor, legs tucked demurely beneath her, but never taking her eyes from the revelations of the book. The beer was foamy and yeasty and altogether awful, but it was wet. She sipped and watched and, from time to time, her eyes would open wide and she'd recognize a face, call out a name, then lose it, again.
