I am, understandably I think, hesitant about this. The trailer looks good but so did the trailer for the first one and you see how that one turned out. Maybe, just maybe this will be better.

Looks great, the first got a lot wrong though did think they hit the live action Saturday morning cartoon feel. This looks just like a more accurate Joe flick that is taking more from the comic books.
Just seeing chrome domed Cobra Commander got me excited.

i tend to say that the first was a GI Joe movie......just not the GI Joe movie i wanted. It took alot more from the cartoon (and some of the more "out there" toys) than the more down to earth comics (ignore for a moment those 6 issues in the early 90's that the transformers were guesting....). At least what they got right, they got right in spades (Destro was spot on imo, as well as Storm Shadow and Snake-eyes).
This one looks much more streamlined. less "super-tech" in the hands of the good guys. plus Chrome-dome Cobra Commander! (the biggest issue i had with the first one)

I liked the first GI Joe movie though it just got so much wrong. The feel from this trailer so far reminds me of the later era comics DDP and IDW have been doing. I am sad to see they didn't put Destro in, it's not really hard to replace him with the whole metal mask thing. I assume they are going with a cheaper sequel here or the trailer just not showing some of the bigger parts of the film since it only finished filming a couple weeks ago. It's got my hyped though.

Not as cool a trailer but a clearer view of Cobra Commander, and it's awesome to see that Firefly has his camo mask on as well! Really hyped for this.
