    Weird Wireless Problem

My main PC (Windows 7) is having this problem where it just drops the connection to my wireless network.

I have 2 laptops and 2 smart phones that also connect to the wireless with no issues at all.

    Drivers say that they're updated.

What else could be causing this?

One thing to check is the max connections allowed. It might be set on the wireless router to only allow a certain amount of connections.

    I don't think there is a limit, but I'll double-check.

I have had this problem before and the fix that I use is to change the channel. My theory is that the router picks up interference from another device on the same channel. So I just head to the settings and switch from say 11 to 9. It usually only happens once in a blue moon but that is my suggestion.

I checked that. There are a couple other networks in range but at different channels.

Remember, I'm having no other problems with other devices. Just this particular computer.

Could it be a hardware problem? Is it onboard, card or usb? I had my onboard wifi do something similar and had to buy a 300Mbps USB adapter.

It is onboard. Yesterday I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. We'll see if that makes any difference.

Does it happen when you make microwave popcorn or a TV dinner?
Seriously, microwaves emit 2.4ghz noise and can cause problems as they age.
