I really enjoyed the first episode - it had lots going on - an interesting story, mostly interesting characters - although some I like better than others.
For some reason the second episode wasn't as good. The story seemed rather predictable, the characters were fine but just went through the motions. I can't put my finger on why, but it wasn't as exciting.
Still hopeful for better scripts in the future, though. The series has a lot of promise.

Show is saved by the Whedon humor, other than that it's pretty mediocre so far. Also the show is in severe need of a bigger budget.
